The Biography of LP Khao:
LP Khao was a famous monk in the past. He was a former abbot of Wat Tam Gorng Pen in Nong Bua Lamphu Province (northeast of Thailand). LP Khao was born on Sunday the 28th December BE 2431 (CE 1888) in Amnard Charoen Province (northeast of Thailand). LP Khao loved Buddhism since he was young. In BE 2462 (CE 1919), at the age of 31, he got ordained. After ordination, LP Khao went on a pilgrimage with famous monks in the past such as LP Mun, LP Waen and others.
LP Khao was a good monk. His Majesty the King Bhumibol used to pay respect to LP Khao. LP Khao’s great intention was to make Buddhists understand and follow Buddha’s teachings.
LP Khao passed away in BE 2526 (CE 1983) at the age of 95. Today, people still remember him.
There is LP Khao Museum at Wat Tam Gorng Pen, Nong Bua Lamphu Province. This museum was built according to King Bhumibol’s idea. It was finished in BE 2531 (CE 1988).
