Chu Chok, a Superb Begging Icon
There are many wealthy amulets in Thailand and Chu Chok is one of them. From Buddha story to the great amulet of wealth, Chu Chok has been said to excellently bring money and fruitful business to the owner.
The appearance of Chu Chok is usually an old man with long beard, a bun of hair like a Brahman, and a bent back. He does not wear the upper clothes. He is often seen with a walking stick and bag.
According to the story of Buddha, although Chu Chok was an old ugly beggar, he never lacked money because people who saw Chu Chok always had compassion for him and donated to him every time. That is why an image of Chu Chok is believed to magnetize money and draw people mercy very well. Also, the story says Chu Chok got a son and a daughter of Buddha and even a beautiful wife (daughter of a rich man). This description shows that Chu Chok is not common.
About the Guru Monk:
Luang Pu Noon (age 81, 2016 CE) is a guru monk in Prachinburi Province. His story is interesting because he keeps on superb mantras of 2 gurus. First is Luang Pu Ken, Wat Tam Kow E-to, Prachinburi Province who was famous for Sai Ngoen-Sai Thong (name of amulet to attract money in form of a bamboo fish trap usually made 2 colors gold and silver together) and Nok Ga Long (bird amulet of wealth). Second is Luang Por Phum, a present abbot of Wat Noen Hom, Prachinburi Province who is a disciple of Luang Pu Ken, Wat Tam Kow E-to.
Luang Pu Noon was born on May 2, 1935 CE in Prachinburi Province. At present, Luang Pu Noon is an assistant of abbot of Wat Noen Hom in his hometown. He studied mantra from Luang Por Phum, the abbot. In fact, Luang Por Phum got mantra knowledge from Luang Pu Ken, Wat Tam Kow E-to, the same Province.
Moreover, Luang Pu Noon ever met Luang Pu Ken, Wat Tam Kow E-to many times before Luang Pu Ken passed away because he was invited by Luang Pu Ken to give a sermon called Thet Maha Chat at Wat Tam Kow E-to. In reality, Luang Pu Noon can speak Thet Maha Chat (sermon telling story of Buddha before he was enlightened) very well specially in Laotian. After a sermon, he had a chance to talk to Luang Pu Ken and Luang Pu Ken taught him mantra.
Knowledge heritage Luang Pu Ken left to Luang Pu Noon is making Sai Ngoen-Sai Thong and Nok Ga Long that attract money to owner very well. Luang Pu Noon can make them as well as his teacher. Many people got surprisingly wonderful experiences such as winning the lottery, having profitable business, etc.
