**The power of Ta Khai is widely known in Nakhon Si Thammarat and other Provinces. People told that in World War II, Ta Khai spirit frightened the foreign soldiers that they ran away without thinking.
Because of strong power of Ta Khai spirit, in 2525 BE (1982 CE) people together built the statue of Ta Khai from Ta Kian wood (Ta Kian is a mystical tree in Thai belief) and invited real Ta Khai spirit to obsess in the statue. Wonderfully, Ta Khai statue is not common because Ta Khai spirit helps what people pray for him. Every day, people come to worship and give offerings for Ta Khai. They like to make a wish towards Ta Khai statue. Many of them are fulfilled for example they win the lottery and find the missing things. That makes Ta Khai spirit very famous.
**One popular thing that people who already promise Ta Khai spirit will do when they get what they want is lighting firecrackers. Yes, they light firecrackers to fulfill their vows. Now, pieces of firecrackers pile up like a hill!
About the Guru Monk:
LP Phat , abbot of Wat Than Thahan (Huay Duan), Nakhon Sawan Province is an uncommon guru monk. Now (2016 CE), he is 94 and has been a monk for 71 years. Luang Por is still healthy and has many disciples. In fact, Luang Por is a close disciple of Luang Por Derm, Wat Nongpho in the same Province who was a famous guru monk in Thailand. Although LP Derm passed away many years ago, his holiness is said widely especially amulets from him.
LP Phat saw LP Derm when he was a child. He gained kindness from LP Derm and also studied magic and mantras from him. LP Phat is highly respected especially in Nong Bua district, Nakhon Sawan Province. People in the central may not hear about LP Phat because Luang Por is solitary. However, Luang Por has many disciples who mostly are sellers, businessmen, police and soldiers. LP Phat has released several batches of amulets which always run out quickly because many people want to worship.
** On 18 July 2014 at 3 a.m., chapel of Wat Than Thahan (Huay Duan) was burning. The stuff in the chapel were damaged except LP Phat waxwork and his monk robe. People believe that was holiness of LP Phat.
