Description: This is Matchanu (Son of Hanuman) Amulet blessed by LP Jom in year 2009. LP Jom is a revered guru monk of Amnat Charoen Province.
MatChaNu is a name of a character in the Indian epic Ramayana who is a son of Hanuman and a mermaid named Nang SuPhanMatCha. MatChaNu has a body like a monkey but he has a tail like a fish. People believe MatChaNu or a monkey amulet can protect them from dangers and accidents and make them invulnerable. MatChaNu also appears as a tattoo. Some Thai people go to a guru monk or a guru master to have a tattoo of MatChaNu on their bodies. People also believe that owning MatChaNu will bring good luck and success to the owner as well as increase the power of control.
About Guru Monk:
Luang Por Jom Nakaseno (abbot of Wat Pa Ban Don Du, Amnat Charoen Province) is an admirable monk whom many disciples love and respect.
He was born on 7 October 1919 CE in Amnat Charoen Province. He admires LP Mun Phurithatto, a famous meditation monk in the past. LP Jom got ordained as a Buddhist monk when he was 37. After that, he accomplished Nak Tham Ek, the highest level of dharma test. Then LP Jom found meditation and pilgrimage very important for a monk to find out himself, so he went to LP Mun Phurithatto whom he has faith in. He learned meditation with LP Mun and accompanied him on a pilgrimage. Other than LP Mun, LP Jom went to many respectable guru monks to learn more meditation and mantras. In the way of LP Mun, LP Jom keeps himself modest and simple. Until 1990 CE when LP Jom stayed at Wat Phu Jampa in Amnat Charoen Province, he was invited by a monk to be an abbot of Wat Pa Phothisomporn in his hometown. In 2004 CE, Wat Pa Phothisomporn was renamed Wat Pa Ban Don Du.
